What is GRC?

GRC is used to create exterior cladding panel structures. This type of concrete, obtained from a mixture of cement, fiberglass and a number of building chemicals, is quite durable. It basically consists of 4 main components. These components are white portland cement, silica sand with a high silica content, glass fiber with a high alkali resistance (Zirconium content of 16.5% and above) and water.Fiberglass concrete is resistant to pressure, bending and impact. That is why it is quite a preferred option on building facades.

TYPES OF MOLDS USED IN GRC

3 Different molds are used for grc. These are wooden, polyester and silicone molds. These molds are determined according to the number of castings and decor. It can take the form of almost any shape or size.

What Are The Benefits Of Glass Reinforced Concrete?

  • ·        It is lighter than conventional concrete. This increases energy efficiency.
  • ·        There is no need for expensive equipment for pouring or vibrating GFRC.
  • ·        No holes are formed on the surface due to spraying.
  • ·        GRC is toughness. So it doesn’t crack easily.
  • ·        GFRC, sprayed or poured into a mold, easily takes the form of even the most intricate container.
  • ·        GRC is durable. It is waterproof because there are no cracks on its surface.
  • ·        GRC is sustainable because its mix uses less cement than concrete, as well as a significant amount of recycled material.
